SWAROVSKI - IRIS APFEL

Estive no evento da Swarovski, em São Paulo, em que foram apresentadas as Tendências do Outono-Inverno 2014-2015. Além da apresentação de tendências, a estilosa americana Iris Apfel, 90 anos, foi a grande atração do evento. Pela primeira vez no Brasil, Iris falou de sua trajetória profissional.

Para quem não conhece, Iris Apfel é empresária, designer de interiores e ícone da moda com seu estilo colorido. Em 2005 e 2006, foi tema de exposição no Metropolitan Museum em Nova York. Em 2011, fechou parceria com a M.A.C. para uma coleção de maquiagem.

Realmente, ela é uma figura maravilhosa. Das coisas que falou,  as mais marcantes para mim foram : “Sejam curiosos”, “Nunca se aposentem. Mesmo se pararem de fazer a sua atividade profissional, busquem uma outra atividade. Haverá sempre alguém precisando de você”. E sobre o tão famoso Business Plan, disse que nunca teve ou fez um (isso não é impressionante?).

Tive a oportunidade de perguntar a Iris Apfel, durante a entrevista, se usava perfume e qual o seu favorito. Obviamente, ela mencionou as fragrâncias da Swarovski, dizendo que são leves. As fragrâncias são Aura by Swarovski, lançada em 2011 em duas versões : Eau de Parfam e Eau de Toilette. Neste ano lançaram Miss Aura.

Por fim, mencionou que ela e o marido usavam o mesmo perfume há anos: Yagatan de Caron, lançado em 1978. Caron é uma marca francesa criada em 1904, muito sofisticada e tradicional. Para quem assistiu ao filme Perfume de Mulher com Al Pacino, Fleurs de Rocaille de Caron é o perfume que a personagem usava quando passou perto do personagem de Al Pacino (cego) e que ele prontamente reconheceu.

I was at Swarovski event in Sao Paulo, where they presented the Fall-Winter 2014-2015 Trends. Besides the presentation of trends, the stylish American Iris Apfel, 90 y.o., was the attraction of the event. For the first time in Brazil, Iris spoke about her career.

For those who are not familiar, Iris Apfel is a businesswoman, interior designer and fashion icon with her colorful style. In 2005 and 2006, was the theme of an exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum in New York. In 2011, she partnered with M.A.C. for a makeup collection.

Iris Apfel is really a wonderful and enchanting character. Of the things she said, the most meaningful to me were: "Be curious," "Never retire. Even if you stop doing your professional activity, seek another activity. There will always be someone in need of you. "And about the famous Business Plan, she said she never had or made ​​one. (Isn´t that amazing?)

I had the opportunity to ask Iris Apfel, during the interview, if she wore a perfume and her favorite fragrance. Obviously, she mentioned the fragrances of Swarovski, saying they are lighter and interesting. Swarovski fragrances are Aura launched in 2011 in two versions: Eau de Parfam and Eau de Toilette and Miss Aura launched this year.

 

Finally, she mentioned that she and her husband had worn the same perfume for years: Yagatan by Caron, launched in 1978. Caron is a French brand created in 1904, very sophisticated and traditional. For those who watched the movie, Scent of a Woman with Al Pacino, Fleurs de Rocaille by Caron was the fragrance that woman was wearing when he (Al Pacino) passed by and readily recognized the fragrance.
